Vendor Manager (m/f/d) France

As an e-commerce Marketplace, Metro Markets GmbH works with hundreds of Vendors (suppliers) within Germany, Europe and beyond, managing thousands of products to deliver on our customer’s needs while providing great service.

We are looking for Vendor Managers (m/f/d) for the French Market!

It is your task as a Vendor Manager to look after, manage and monitor the manufacturers and suppliers of your categories. With your strong personal responsibility skills, you ensure that your product groups reliably reach their destination - our global customers in the HoReCa industry. 

In addition, the following tasks await you:

  • Scanning the market for new and innovative trends, brands and products
  • Finding of vendors to create a relevant assortment in all price ranges for our customers
  • Meeting with vendors to assess their products, inquire about their services, negotiate pricing, cost control and communicate any product or service-related concerns
  • Facilitate, cultivate and establish long-lasting relationships between our organization and vendors
  • Negotiate Vendor contract 
  • Benchmarking 
  • Analyzing and reporting of sales trends, turnover, profit and numerous other KPIs
  • Strategic planning and implementing of category growth
  • Planning and control of advertising in close cooperation with Online Marketing, Commercial Business Intelligence and Demand Planning
  • Close cooperation with the Vendor Support, Supply Chain and ERP departments

Furthermore, you will be participating in setting up a dynamic pricing system and an international vendor performance dashboard.

You've got
  • At least two years of proven experience in vendor management/ Category management within the e-commerce sector.
  • Ideally, experience within Gastro equipment or its product ranges.
  • The ability to disrupt and improve existing processes for the customer journey of frequently purchased goods
  • Fun in managing relationships with Key Partners of the industry and internal stakeholders, e.g. Marketing & Supply Chain
  • Strong negotiation skills, a proactive approach, collaborative and team player
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English.
  • Fluency in Spanish, German or Italian would be highly beneficial.
