Customer Service Expert - f/d/m

As an e-commerce marketplace, METRO Markets GmbH works with hundreds of partners within Germany, Europe and beyond, managing thousands of products to deliver on our customer’s needs while providing great service. We are part of METRO Group.

We are currently looking for a “Customer Service Expert” to join our Customer Service team within the Operations department in our Dusseldorf office. This is a 16 month contract with possibility of extension,  that reports directly to the “Head of Customer Service”.

In this role you will be mainly responsible for, but not limited to, the following: 3rdLevel requests handling (claims & complaints) such as Escalations management and Warranty & Special Requests handling; Creation of detailed reports reg. 3rdLevel requests and escalations; Proactive case monitoring and proactive customer communication; Handling of customer requests; and Handling of negative Customer reviews.
You've got
  • Proven experience within Customer Service
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Proven conflict management and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience working within customer service in the e-commerce (ideally)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within dynamic teams
  • Confident, driven, assertiveness and proactive attitude
  • Excel and analytical skills (e.g. for root cause analysis)
  • Native/Fluent in German and at least professional level in English (Essential).
