Vendor Manager - Netherlands (m/f/d) Amsterdam | Düsseldorf

As an e-commerce Marketplace, Metro Markets GmbH works with hundreds of Vendors(suppliers) within Germany, Europe and beyond, managing thousands of products to deliver on our customer’s needs while providing great service.

It is your task as a vendor manager to look after, manage and monitor the manufacturers and suppliers of your merchandise group. With your strong personal responsibility skills, you ensure that your product groups reliably reach their destination - our global customers in the HoReCa industry. 

In addition, the following tasks await you:

  • Scanning the market for new and innovative trends and products
  • Negotiating the best prices for product segments identified by our Commercial Business Intelligence Team
  • You manage your manufacturers and suppliers and secure specific KPI´s such as deliver time and cancellation rate
  • Steering of suppliers in the merchandise area, including price negotiations and trade fair visits
  • Optimization and analysis of turnover, profit and numerous other KPIs
  • Continuous development and optimization of the product range design
  • Planning and control of advertising in close cooperation with Online Marketing, Commercial Business Intelligence and Demand Planning
  • Close cooperation with the Vendor Support, Supply Chain and ERP departments

Furthermore, you will be participating in setting up a dynamic pricing system and an international vendor performance dashboard.

You've got
  • At least two years of proven experience in vendor management/ Category management within the e-commerce sector.
  • Ideally, experience within Gastro equipment or its product ranges.
  • The ability to disrupt and improve existing processes for the customer journey of frequently purchased goods
  • Fun in managing relationships with Key Partners of the industry and internal stakeholders, e.g. Marketing & Supply Chain
  • Strong negotiation skills, a proactive approach, collaborative and team player
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills in both German and English.
  • Fluency in Spanish would be highly beneficial.
